When I had a baby in the middle of the pandemic in 2020, finding local help was a huge challenge. It was the pandemic for starters and I was a new mom. I had not expected I'd be navigating new parenthood in the middle of the pandemic.


These resources below helped me sustain the challenges of being a new mom. I've used these myself over the past few years and highly recommend them to anyone seeking support, even when we are on our way out of the pandemic now.


Local social media pages and groups

  • Pregnant Chicas : This group is aimed at supporting a tribe of KIND mamas-to-be who are seeking a special experience leading up to baby’s arrival. Facebook Group

  • Mama Chicas Of Vancouver : We're a REAL community/sisterhood & tribe of women who are growing in motherhood together & friendship Facebook Group

  • Vancouver moms and babies : This is a community of moms to bond and share ideas and stories! Facebook Group

  • Vancouver kids ( lot of activities around Vancouver for babies and toddlers) :Instagram page

Surrey Mom groups
